Reasons Why You Can't Lose Weight Quickly

It is not always easy to lose weight quickly. In fact, it is not easy at all for most people which explains why so many people are overweight. There can be many reasons that a person cannot lose weight quickly. This article will list some of the possible reasons that many people cannot lose weight.

1. Heredity - You are overweight. So is your dad, your mom and all of your brothers and sisters. If this is the case then you could be overweight simply because of heredity. The again it could be because of inherited bad eating habits. Unfortunately there is no real way of knowing whether this was from genetics or from learning bad eating habits from your family.

2. Stress - Stress can play a large role in your weight loss. There are many reasons why this is the case. One reason is because when we are stressed we tend to do a certain amount of overeating or emotion eating. This can also play a role because of the stress hormones causing us to gain belly fat. If this is the case, you should try to find some way of unwinding that is enjoyable for you, but does not involve food.

3. Health Issues - If the above reasons do not apply and you are unable to lose weight there could be an underlying health issue that you are unaware of. This could include but is not limited to an underactive thyroid. You should consult your doctor to see if there is a medical reason for being overweight.
